Mövenpick Hotel & Resort Yanbu is a Green Globe certified hotel

For a number of years now, we have been implementing solid sustainability practices in our company. We are very proud of the fact that this has also resulted in Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts becoming the most Green Globe certified hotel company in the world.

As a Green Globe certified hotel, Mövenpick Hotel & Resort Yanbu is internationally recognised as a property that constantly introduces initiatives with the aim to reduce and optimise its consumption of resources. This includes, but is not limited to, employing energy efficient lighting, reducing water consumption and effectively managing waste and use of chemicals. 

Our commitment to environmental awareness is part of Shine, Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts’ Global Sustainability Programme. Shine aims to give back and contribute towards the prosperity of each destination where we operate. The sustainability practices we pursue revolve around three key pillars – Environment, Employer and Social Sustainability – with Education forming the common thread amongst the three.

Recycling waste

Paper, glass bottles and cans are being recycled at Mövenpick Hotel & Resort Yanbu as part of the resort’s waste management activities.  The hotel also invites its guests to participate in a voluntary environment protection programme by reusing their towels and bed linen. This project has been supported by guests and approximately 4,815 kilogrammes of linen are being reused per month, resulting in significant energy and water savings, as well as less chemical usage.
