Welcome to Mövenpick Nabatean Castle Hotel

From the hills of the Rift Valley around Mövenpick Nabatean Castle Hotel, it is just 10 minutes by car to Petra, the historic Nabatean kingdom that is now Jordan’s most visited attraction. The fitting fort-like architecture of this five-star hotel complements stunning views that provide some natural respite and perspective after a day exploring Petra, the UNESCO World Heritage Site also known as the Rose City Petra.

Known as the Rose City due to the colour of the kingdom’s rock carvings, Petra is Jordan’s most visited attraction. The ancient Nabataean capital remained unknown to the western world until 1812 when a Swiss explorer discovered numerous spectacular sites in the area

How to get to the hotel

By car from the north

Coming from the north, from Amman or Queen Alia International Airport, take the desert highway towards Petra, Ma’an and Aqaba. After approximately 170 km, follow the signs to Petra on your right and follow the main road until you reach Petra. Located only 10 minutes from the entrance to the Petra site, the Mövenpick Nabatean Castle Hotel is set on a hillside at an altitude of 1,400 metres with spectacular views of the Great Rift Valley.

By car from the south

Coming from the south from Aqaba, take the desert highway towards Amman or Ma’an. After approximately 85 km, follow the signs to Petra on the left and follow the main road until you reach Petra. Located only 10 minutes from the entrance to the Petra site, the Mövenpick Nabatean Castle Hotel is set on a hillside at an altitude of 1,400 metres with spectacular views of the Great Rift Valley.

By shuttle bus

A complimentary shuttle between Mövenpick Nabatean Castle Hotel and Mövenpick Resort Petra means that Petra is really simple to get to, though this is by no means the only attraction to consider. Points of interest to the north include the 12th century Crusader castle at Shobak 35 kilometres away, while the Nubian Ibex, caracals and Phoenician junipers at Dana Biosphere Reserve can be reached in an hour. The Dead Sea and Amman are about three hours away.
